Technological graphite equipment with a coating of high-density tungsten

The use of graphite in process tooling used for various high-temperature chemical and technological processes is constrained because of the impurity background it creates that contaminates the manufactured products.

We have developed new structural materials based on graphite with protective coatings.

Industrial tests have shown that the use of graphite thermal unit with protective tungsten coating of all its elements when growing gallium arsenide monocrystals (MAG) from melt allows reducing the impurity background in MAG (compared with MAG grown in a thermal unit without coating) for carbon , copper, chromium, silicon approximately twice (at the same time tungsten in the form of impurity in MAG is not detected), and also increase the electrophysical characteristics of MAG and the service life of the thermal unit.

Coating of W, Mo, Ta, BN and other heat-resistant materials on parts of complex configuration, including threaded joints, blind holes, etc. is possible.
