The proposed coatings reduce abrasive wear, prevailing at low cutting speeds and adhesive wear at medium and high speeds, reduce metal adhesion on the back surfaces, which leads to improved surface quality and reduced cutting forces and tool wear.
Coatings can be used for both internal and external broaches.
